Calling all teens and tweens for our 2011 Summer Reading Program!

Explore your inner world and the world around you with our 2011 Teen/Tween Summer Reading Program – You Are Here.  The more you read, the more chances you earn to win prizes.  You can even sign up and track your reading online using your computer.  Check out our great selection of programs for teens too.  There will be film festivals, crafts, gaming and more!

Theater Games at the Haddon And Gloucester Twp. Branches

  Join us as we journey into uncharted humor!  The theatre group Youth Stages will lead us as we improvise in Whose Library Is It Anyway?  We'll explore classic improvisational drama games like "Park Bench" and "Elevator" and add newer games like "Party Quirks" and "Hunter and Hunted."  The program will take place on Tuesday, January 12 at the Haddon Twp. and Gloucester Twp. Branches.  Ages 12 - 18.

Haddon Township Branch: Tuesday, January 12, 4-5:30 p.m. Register

Come to The Spot Teen Center* this Friday, March 20th at 7PM to meet Adam Taliaferro!

Adam Teliaferro is a former Eastern High School football player who was paralyzed while making a tackle for Penn State in a game at Ohio State in 2000.

After spinal-fusion surgery, multiple doctors told Adam he would probably never walk again.

Three months later, Adam walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.

Come meet Adam and hear his miraculous story of physical and emotional strength and recovery.

*The Spot is located on the 2nd floor of the Voorhees Town Center near Boscov's.

2008 Princeton Student Film & Video Festival

Do you like making your own original short films? Here's a great opportunity to share your work with others. Check out the 2008 Princeton Student Film & Video Festival. Students in high school and college (or up to age 24) are invited to submit original short films. Filmmakers will be invited to attend and introduce and talk about their work during the two nights of the festival. Theatrical Workshop for Teens at Bellmawr Branch

The Teen Advisory Board of the Bellmawr Branch of the Camden County Library will present a hands-on theatrical workshop on Monday, March 10 from 4 - 6 p.m.  The NJ State Library and the New Jersey Library Association have partnered with the NJ Theater Alliance to provide this program to teens in one library in each county.  The Bellmawr Teen Advisory Board applied for and was selected to present this program. 

Join David White of  the Passage Theater and actor Joseph Edwards for this workshop. Reservations are a must, as there is a limit of 40 attendees.  To reserve a spot, call 856-931-1400.

Hip-Hop Performance December 11!

Face da Phlave, the East Coast's illest hip-hop and funk dance troupe, will be performing at 7 PM at the Vogelson Regional Branch Library in Voorhees!  Come one, come all -- enjoy the performance, then mingle with, and get tips from the dancers afterwards.
