Tales of the Unknown at Pennsauken Library

My friend Colleen Affrime, the YA Librarian at Pennsauken Library, asked me to pass this info along to you all:

Tales of the Unknown!  Thursday, August 2nd -- 4 PM

A journey into mystery, mayhem, and mind-reading led by Terry Parrett.  You will see startling artifacts, hear tales of revenge, and participate in experiments in Mentalism. 

The Pennsauken Library is located at 5605 N. Crescent Boulevard (Route 130) in Pennsauken.  You can call Colleen at 665-5959 extension 6 for more information.

I know, I know, it's not even August yet, but we schedule our programs months in advance here at CCLS.  The upside is, you can mark your calendars now for the following programs (and call the Youth Services Desk at 772-1636 ext 3360 to reserve a space):

September Programs

Anime Club: September 4, 4-5:30 PM

Gaming Club: September 18, 4-6 PM

Lock-In: September 29, 6 PM - 12 AM -- permission slips required!  I'll upload a copy of the permission slip in a few days for you to download and sign. 

Food Fear Factor at Vogelson Branch

Well, the strong (of stomach) survived to tell the tale of how they ate beets mixed with gorgonzola cheese, cold spam, and whipped cream (shown in the photo), among other not-so-delectable concoctions on Tuesday, July 24.

The crowd of 22 people, including onlookers & cheerleaders as well as iron-stomached participants, whooped, hollered, cringed, and eventually choked down all the vile combinations of food I created.
