Ready to Get Started on Home Improvement Projects?

Tools The library has always offered books on home improvement and small engine repair.  Now you can get the help you need from home, using just your library card.  The library has added two new databases to its collection of online resources.  The Home Improvement Reference Center offers thousands of repairs for outdoor projects, electrical projects, remodeling projects, plumbing projects, wood projects, decorating projects and maintenance.

The Small Engine Repair Center includes repair manuals containing thousands of accurate and concise step-by-step maintenance and repair instructions for hundreds of small engine machines and their supporting components. Engines types include motorcycles, ATVs, personal water craft, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers, generators, and more. Need to fix your car?  Don't forget that you can also use the Auto Repair Reference Center online.

What if you can't fix it?  You can check out past issues of Consumer Reports online to decide which replacements to buy (the latest three months can be found in the library branches).

You can find these databases (and many others) on the Online Research page.
