Receive Courtesy Notices Through E-mail
Would you like to receive a reminder when items you’ve checked out are nearly due? The library now sends courtesy notices to patrons with e-mail accounts they’ve registered with the library. For an item with a 14-day or 21-day loan period, a courtesy notice is sent three days before it is due. An item with a 7-day loan period has a notice sent two days before the due date.
If you would like to receive courtesy notices and currently receive overdue or hold notices through the U.S. mail, you can easily make the change to receive e-mail notices instead. (Note: you can receive either e-mail or print notices, but not both.) Here are the steps to make the change:
- Go to My CamCat in the catalog: http://iii.camden.lib.nj.us/patroninfo
- Enter your name and library card number.
- Click on Modify Personal Info.
- Enter your e-mail address in the e-mail field.
For patrons who check their e-mail regularly, e-mail notices are very convenient. For those who check their e-mail only sporadically, print notices are a better alternative.
