New blog on the Camden County Library website
The “New at the Camden County Library” webpage that you are currently reading is now a blog. What will this mean to readers? You can still view news releases by clicking on “New at the Library” on the homepage, or the titles of any news articles. But now you can do more. Each entry in a blog is dated, archived, and categorized. Want to see what happened earlier in the year? Looking for news in just one category? You can find links to date and category archives in the left column.
It’s much easier to share or save information with a blog. At the bottom of each news item is a link for “Comments.” Click on the link if you have a question, or have some information to add. You can forward the item to a friend by clicking on the link for “E-mail this post.” If you use the online bookmark site, del.icio.us, (what is this?) you can quickly add any news item to your list of favorites by clicking on the link "Add to del.icio.us."
Would you like to automatically receive a news item each time it is added? You can subscribe to the RSS feed (what is this?), to receive Camden County Library news in a feed reader like Bloglines or Google Reader. Click on the link at the bottom of the left column that says “Subscribe in a reader.” Then choose the reader you use from the list on the next page.

What a great idea! I love blogs.
